At The Partners, we recognize the importance of protecting your
privacy and we have policies in place to maintain the
confidentiality and security of your personal information.
- We collect only the customer information needed to
consistently deliver responsive products and services. The
information collected generally varies depending on the products or
services you request and may include: information on applications
and related forms - for example, name, address, Social Security
number. We do not disclose any nonpublic, personal information
about our clients or former clients to anyone, except as permitted
by law.
- We maintain safeguards to ensure information security. We have
implemented security standards and processes - including physical,
electronic and procedural safeguards - to ensure that access to
customer information is limited to employees, registered
representatives or agents who may need it to do their job. They are
required to respect the confidentiality of all customer
information.
- We limit how, and with whom, we share customer information.
First and foremost, we do not sell lists of our clients, nor do we
disclose customer information to marketing companies. Under no
circumstances do we share medical information for marketing
purposes. We may share your personal information with your consent
or as permitted or required by law. For example, we may share your
information with affiliated or unaffiliated business partners
(other than consumer reports and health information) through joint
marketing agreements. In those situations, we share your
information to jointly offer you products and services or have
others offer you products and services we endorse or sponsor.
More specifically, several federal and state statutes mandate
privacy protection:
- The Partners is required to comply with the HIPAA Privacy
Standards pertaining to its health plan and for those which it
obtains information. This means that any "Individually Identifiable
Health Information" that The Partners obtains will be kept in a
separate file, under separate key, with access only to those with a
need to know. This information will not be disclosed without
written authorization except in cases that do not require
authorization as stated in HIPAA.
- The New York Security and Notification Act prohibits the
disclosure of personal information, social security numbers,
driver's license numbers, and credit card account numbers.
- The New York Social Security Number Protection Law prohibits
the disclosure of social security numbers oral, written, or
facilitated by the use of a computer or the internet.
We will reaffirm this policy annually in writing, as long as you
maintain an ongoing relationship with The Partners. While this
policy may change from time to time, you can always review our
current policy online at www.thepartners.com. This is
solely the privacy policy of The Partners. Other companies you may
do business with through The Partners will also provide you with
their respective policy annually.
